A talk by George Hemphill
February 19 at 7:00pm
***Part of the FIRST DRAFT series of evening talks***
George Hemphill emerged from a career as a conceptual artist over 30 years ago to venture into art dealing. Upon the 20th anniversary of his gallery he thought to collect and share the experiences that shaped his approach to art and art dealing. Mr. Hemphill describes these colorful tales of visionary artists, heroic collectors, and frustrated curators as “accumulated while traveling the weird and lovely world of art dealing”. Following the presentation of “Moving Art” Mr. Hemphill will take questions from the audience on art collecting and other contemporary art topics.
